Mobile version of elvanto released!
I’m so excited! We’ve finally released the mobile version of elvanto! Hug your friends, kiss your grandmother and chase your cat around the house! Ok, maybe I’m getting too excited…
The mobile version of elvanto has been added to all elvanto accounts and is now ready to be used by you and your volunteer army. We hope you all like it.
Here is a quick demo video of the mobile version on an iPhone so you can see how easy it is to use:
What’s so good about the mobile version?
Well firstly it has been especially designed for a mobile phone. You don’t have to do any zooming in to read the words or to click on a link . Just like any other app you download for your mobile, it’s easy to use and designed for a small screen.
It’s also much faster at loading. Because it has been designed with a simple mobile layout, it doesn’t require so much “stuff” to load the page meaning quicker load times.
Lastly, it’s much quicker to use because like I mentioned above, it doesn’t have so much to load but it’s also quicker to perform tasks such as reading a post, viewing a roster or even scheduling a person onto a service because of the way it’s designed. Simply tap on a couple of buttons and you’re where you need to be.
What mobile phones does it work on?
At the moment it only has support for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. However, we will be busily working at making it compatible with other mobile phones such as Google Android, Blackberry and the Opera Mini browser. We plan to continue to expand this to more mobile phones.
What’s next?
We’ll be working away at getting the mobile version compatible with more phones. We will also be looking at the ability to mass email all your volunteers with updates/announcements and also setting up service plans (or runsheets) online.
Make sure you keep shooting through any features or suggestions you may have. As powerful as elvanto is in its present state, we are committed to continued improvements and upgrades to make it the best online church rostering system in the world!
Thanks again for reading!
Ben
